GHMC denies receiving plea of Andhra Pradesh CM’s house for reconstruction
GHMC’s chief city planner was unavailable for comment
Hyderabad: Since the building of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu does not fall under the competency of the circle office, which has powers to approve a building below three floors and less than 1000 square meters, the AP CM’s application had to be submitted to the GHMC head office.
Earlier, when questioned by DC regarding Mr Naidu’s building permit, the GHMC’s town planning department had claimed that they had not received any application for reconstruction of the AP CM’s house in Jubilee Hills. The GHMC’s chief city planner was unavailable for comment.
Mr Naidu had decided to demolish his residence at Jubilee Hills and construct a bigger one for his family. He had been living in the house for about 30 years. The house had only two bedrooms and a hall, besides an office room, and he wanted to rebuild the house to suit his growing needs.
“Telangana government is slapping notices of property tax payments. They have asked us to clear the tax dues of the Secretariat also. How can owners be asked to pay?” Mr Atchennaidu questioned.
