One of the year’s most high profile Bollywood events, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s wedding is drawing much attention for the bride and groom as it is for its guest list. Although formal invitations will be sent out soon, we have learnt from reliable sources that Shahid has already personally invited his Rangoon co-star Saif Ali Khan, also the husband of his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan, to be part of his big day. This means that the invitation has been extended to Kareena as well. But will Mr and Mrs Khan attend the do? In an earlier interview, Kareena had said, “If I’m invited, I’ll definitely attend Shahid’s wedding.”
“Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur has started sending out personal invitations and the formal ones will follow soon. Given the father-son’s goodwill in the industry, the event will attract the who’s who of Bollywood,” said a source.
Saif and Shahid had first exchanged pleasantries during an international event last year. The fact that they decided to bury the hatchet was clear when Kareena gave her consent to work with her former beau Shahid in Udta Punjab and Saif came on board for Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film Rangoon.
