Gujarat was re-created in film city as a lot of it's architecture had changed
Mumbai: Actor Shah Rukh Khan may be in Bulgaria filming for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’, but work was on full swing for director Rahul Dholakia and the crew of ‘Raees’. The director has finally wrapped up the first schedule of his film. Rahul took to his twitter handle to share a picture of his ‘Raees’ crew, who according to his post, ‘worked their butts off this summer’.
Rahul and his assistant directors have been shooting a few scenes around their sets without their leading man SRK, who wrapped up his schedule about two weeks ago. Pictures from the sets of the film revealed that the star’s character has a political side in the film.
On Thursday, a new series of pictures from the sets made their way online. These pictures with their old world charms give fans a glimpse of the streets of Gujarat that were created at Mumbai’s film city.
According to reports, the film that is set in the 1980’s era in Ahemdabad and since a lot of the city has changed in terms of architecture and manner of living, an entire new set had to be created.
By the looks of the pictures, SRK will be playing the role of a gangster in the film who stands for elections.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film also marks the debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan playing the wife of a gangster (Shah Rukh Khan), and will also feature critically-acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a cop.
The team recently wrapped up the schedule of Raees, and left for Bulgaria
