‘Collegium would have made ambedkar squirm’
Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi reiterated this to the five-judge Constitution bench
New Delhi: If one of the founding fathers of the Indian Constitution Dr B.R. Ambedkar were alive today, he would be squirming over the manner in which Article 124 (relating to judicial appointments) of the Constitution had been interpreted by the Supreme Court that consultation would mean concurrence.
Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi reiterated this to the five-judge Constitution bench on Tuesday.
