Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has decided to release Rs 50 lakh to each of the districts in the state for maintenance of mosques.
According to the officials, the TS government has earmarked Rs 5 crore for 10 districts and the district collectors are authorised to sanctions the amount to each of the mosques in the district based on the requirements.
The officials said that the Telangana state government will release the order within a day or two.
The government has already released Rs 1.30 crore to repair and decorate the Macca Masjid in the city. It has also released funds for the Royal Mosque at Public Gardens.
Macca Masjid and Royal Mosque are under the direct management of the TS government.
