KCR known for gully politics: Nara Lokesh to TD
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, said on Tuesday that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was known for indulging in gully-level politics whereas Mr Naidu had always been interested in nation building and national politics. Scores of TD workers on Tuesday assembled at the party headquarters at Jubilee Hills and shouted slogans “KCR murdabad, Chandrababu Naidu zindabad”.
They even made a human chain at the entrance of the party office to prevent any police official from entering. At one point the workers tried to go inside the office to meet Mr Lokesh to inquire about what was going on as several regional TV channels had aired bulletins stating that the Telangana police and Anti-Corruption Bureau officials would soon arrive at the party office to serve notices to Mr Naidu.
Mr Lokesh asked them not to panic regarding the news bulletins. “Nothing to worry about. Nobody can touch our leader. these cases will not stand legal scrutiny. Mr Rao is known for indulging in gully-level politics whereas our leader is a national leader. Mr Naidu is always interested in the development of the country and the state; I assure you nothing will happen to our leader,” he said.
In a related development, TD Rajya Sabha member C.M. Ramesh denied his involvement in the cash-for-vote scam as was being reported in a section of media. “There are reports in a section of the press to malign me and connect me with the so called cash-for-vote scam, stating that I had arranged the money from my firm etc., this is all false; the ACB investigation is going on the wrong track, I completely deny any involvement in the issue,” he said.
