Now, mobile app to help startups
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: At a time when start-ups are finding it difficult to market their innovative products, an IT company has come out with a mobile app to help start-ups reach potential customers.
Thiruvananthapuram-based Thought Ripples has offered its mobile app free to start-up firms.
The app will help a start-up reach out to potential customers through direct marketing communication.
“With the mobile app, the companies will be able to present their products in the market. We hope the facility will give tremendous exposure to the start-ups, considering the increasing popularity of smart phones,” Thought Ripples chief executive officer Deepak George said in a statement.
Many of the start-up firms that came up with mind-boggling products were not able to commercialise their product because of difficulties in getting a market. Even associations like NASSCOM are now conducting sessions to help start-ups market their products.
The state government is also giving opportunities to many entrepreneurs to participate in international meets so as to market their products.
Many firms used to depend on websites to market their products. But mobiles are now proving to be a more effective tool to reach out to the people. The app has been developed for an Android platform now but it will be available in other platforms too, Mr. George said.
