Dr P Narayana’s birthday bash is mark of camaraderie
The minister had done nothing to the district and not achieved anything worth mentioning
Nellore: Much to the surprise of TD party men, the birthday celebrations of minister Dr P. Narayana held at the party office in Nellore on Monday witnessed the participation of old guard in the party who were hitherto unhappy with his style of functioning.
Even some leaders, who were nursing a grudge against the minister for visiting their constituencies without informing them, were seen praising him and offering cakes to their counterparts at the party office.
For instance former MLA and party in-charge Beeda Masthan Rao and Kovur MLA P. Srinivasulu Reddy were at loggerheads with the minister for visiting their constituencies without their knowledge.
They reportedly raised the issue during a coordination meeting held at Hyderabad sometime ago. Interestingly both of them were seen taking active party in the birthday celebration at NTR Bhavan, the TD office, in Nellore. Incidentally, TD district unit president Beeda Ravichandra and former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy were conspicuously absent in the programme.
A critic of the minister in TD questioned the rationale behind such merriment while reminding that the minister had done nothing to the district and not achieved anything worth mentioning.
He said that everyone was trying to be in the good books of the minister, although they are unhappy inwardly, because he is close to the Chief Minister and playing a key role in all activities pertaining to the new capital construction.
