6-year-old Tarun’s body fished out of Musi waters
GHMC deployed nearly 200 staffers from various departments for the operation
Hyderabad: The body of six-year-old Tarun who was washed away in the Musi on Sunday was recovered on Monday morning. GHMC’s entomology department officials noticed the body stuck under the Malakpet New Bridge, also known as Golnaka New Bridge, and retrieved it.
The search restarted in the early hours of Monday and the GHMC deployed nearly 200 staffers from various departments for the operation. “We had searched till late on Sunday night. We were expecting expert swimmers from Nagarjunasagar. The staff of the entomology department who were searching for the boy in a pedal boat found his body stuck near a pillar under the bridge. We could locate the body as water flow decreased on Monday,” said GHMC south zonal commissioner Balasubraman-yam. An inconsolable Manga, Tarun’s mother, said, “I was going to admit them in school this week. Our dreams have been shattered.”
Tarun fell into the river on Sunday morning when he and his siblings were trying to play with the froth. Police filed a case and gave the body to the family.
