Happy to work with Kangana
After a miserable outing with Gori Tere Pyar Mein, Imran Khan is desperate for a hit. And he hopes to get one with his upcoming film Katti-Batti opposite Kangana Ranaut.
With Kangana — with a string of hits behind her — in the film, expectations are high for the film and Imran hopes to ride the wave too. About being absent for almost two years since GTPM, Imran says, “I have no regrets. My wife was pregnant and I had to be with her. Now we have a pretty daughter. It was, therefore, more important for me to be beside them.
“But now I am looking forward to the release of Katti-Batti. I don’t think I have missed much on the film front,” he adds. “I have made up for the lost time doing KB. I had a very positive time working with Kangana during the shoot,” he says. “Both of us had chances to work to work with each other but things hadn’t worked out. We had wanted to work together and I am happy that the chance came with KB.”
About Gori Tere Pyar Mein failing at the box office, an unperturbed Imran says, “I was apprehensive when Nikhil offered me the script. I did say ‘it’s not so nice!’ But he came again and read it to me and I went ahead. I liked the intriguing tale. We as actors do our best and the rest is for you people to decide. “
With Kangana bound to be the focal point of the film, one has to ask Imran how much space he has, and he says noncommittally, “I have as much screen space as there is in the script. For me KB is very special.”
