Mumbai: Ankit Tiwari of Galiyan fame recently sang for a Pakistani film. It has been learnt that the singer was approached by the makers of a Pakistani film titled Bin Roye starring Mahira Khan (Shah Rukh Khan’s co-star in Raees).
A source says, “Wakar Ali, the music director of Bin Roye along with other members of the production, met Ankit two weeks ago. Ankit was quite surprised with the offer and liked the composition. He recorded the song two days ago and is looking forward to the response from his Pakistani fans.”
Ankit confirms, “It came as quite a surprise when Pakistani filmmakers approached me to sing for their film. I didn’t realise how popular our songs are in Pakistan. I’m really glad to see how music transcends boundaries and reaches straight to the soul. I look forward to seeing how the song is received in Pakistan.”
