Hyderabad: ACB sources said that TD MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah from Sattupally in Khammam district will also be grilled in the cash-for-vote case. The official said, “The call data analysis of accused, including Bishop Harry Sebastian, showed that Veeraiah had several conversations. We will question him soon on whether he is party to the conspiracy.”
When contacted, Mr Veeraiah said, “I used to take care of all Christian affairs of the party. During the Mahanadu, I had spoken to Bishop Harry Sebastian on party issues. I have nothing to do with other things. I didn’t know what ACB is talking about.”
Meanwhile, AP Forensic Science Laboratory expert Venkateswaralu, who has to verify the tapes, is on leave due to a death in the family. An APFSL official said, “The tapes reached us but the report is yet to be given. The expert is on leave. The work started.”
