Engineering entrance examinations rank list to be released on Tuesday
Thiruvananthapuram: The rank list of the engineering entrance examinations is likely to be released on Tuesday.
Sources said that as per the present plan, the rank list would be released by education minister P. K. Abdu Rabb at the PR chamber at 12.30 pm. The option registration process would begin within two days of the release.
The first allotment list for engineering and medical courses is likely to be published on June 25.
The rank list for engineering entrance was being published after taking into consideration the marks for Plus Two.
The engineering rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the score obtained in the entrance examination for engineering, and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure described in the prospectus.
The scores of the engineering entrance examinations were announced along with the medical entrance results in May.
A total of 1,11,109 students appeared for the engineering entrance examinations this year. Of them, 75,258 candidates qualified for engineering admission — 39,459 male and 35,799 female candidates.
Those with a minimum of ten marks in the entrance examinations are eligible to be included in the rank list.
