Visakhapatnam: H. Barai, a public sector employee, had ordered a Microsoft mobile online from Amazon India, but instead of his phone, he was shocked to find neatly packed stones.
This is not the first case when a buyer has found stones instead of electronics ordered online from e-tailing companies.
Mr Barai had ordered a Microsoft Lumia 640 on Amazon on June 12 but when he received the package on June 14, it contained stones and packing material.
When he complained to Amazon, the company replied over SMS that they would get back to him once the investigation was completed and asked him to extend his support.
“Bearing an order #402-9790750-636592, the packet was beautifully wrapped and when I opened the pack after the delivery boy left, I only found a pile of stones and thermocol pieces instead of a mobile,” said Mr Barai.
When asked why he didn’t open the pack in front of the delivery boy, he said that he wanted his daughter to open the pack who was not available at that time.
He said that he would also be filing a complaint with the III Town Police Station.
