Police arrested people in a massive drive against gamblers

Coimbatore: Nearly 20 persons were arrested in different places in the districts in a massive drive against gambling. Based on a tip off, the Chettipalayam police arrested seven persons including Santhosh Kumar (37) of Thomas street and Babu (36) of Selvapuram from a vacant ground near Golf Club and seized Rs 33,000 from them.
In another raid at SIDCO, Malumichampatty, Gopalakrishnan (39), Munusamy (43) inclusive six persons were arrested and remanded. And on the Vadavalli - Siruvani road six persons including Anandkumar (20) were arrested.
