80 cases on K Chandrasekhar Rao in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: As cases against TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao crossed 80 FIRs in various police stations in AP, top cops are now baffled on how to deal with them. Even ministers and MLAs lodged complaints against Mr Rao and FIRs were issued. AP police may form a SIT or hand over the cases to CID depending on the progress of Telangana police in the cash-for-vote scam.
A senior police official from AP police said, "Complaints were filed like a frenzy. As per the Supreme Court judgement, all complaints have to be registered as FIRs and so cases were booked. Even ministers lodged complaints. The district unit officials are asking what to do about the cases. We have asked to them to wait for a while. We will decide on it soon."
Cases were booked against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and ACB officials alleging that they conspired against AP CM Naidu and tapped his phone illegally.
Even the absconding accused A-4 Jerusalem Mattaiah has lodged a complaint with the Vijayawada police based on which case has been registered.
