Ganesh takes up role with negative shades

Actor to act in Achchaaram where he will be seen in the lead role

Actor Ganesh Venkatraman is in an upbeat mood these days. He is all set to Achchaaram where he will be seen in the lead role. The movie is a thriller in which Ganesh plays a cop, with shades of grey. “It is a fascinating suspense thriller. Although you see me as a cop, the story is about his personal life. I play a character called Suriya, in a two dimensional role with two different looks.”

About the role, he says, “I can’t reveal much. But the director has written my role in such a way that until the end you will be guessing whether I am good or evil,” and laughs. Sharing the screen with him is yet another hero Munnah who makes a comeback after a long hiatus. “I was busy with Malayalam films and now I am focusing on Tamil. I play a character called Shiva, who is a lover boy. This is my seventh film in Tamil and I have dubbed for the first time,” said Munnah.

The film has been given U/A Certification owing to its content. “The film is based on a real life incident and I want all lovers to watch it. There is a larger message to them as well as to parents,” says its director Mohan Krishna About the certification, he says, “The U/A is for the subject matter, but there is no sleaze, vulgarity or gore in the film.”

Aishwarya Dutta who acted opposite Nakul in Tamizhukku En Ondrai Azhutthavum has been roped in for an item-number. Producer Gnanadesh Ambedkar plays a vital role in the movie.
