Srividya’s brother suspects will is fake
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Srividya’s brother M.L.V Sankar Raman has expressed doubts over the genuineness of her will in the possession of Mr Ganesh Kumar.
Mr Raman and his wife Vijayalakshmi appeared on Thursday before Crime Branch SP Rajpal Meena and his team in the assets misappropriation case against Mr Ganesh Kumar.
In his statement, Mr Sankar Raman, 63, alleged that even nine years after Srividya’s death, Mr Ganesh Kumar was yet to probate her will. Mr Raman even cast aspersions on the will which was prepared when Srividya was not keeping well.
He was suspicious because Srividya’s IT returns which were produced when she was alive and what Mr Ganesh Kumar later produced did not match. There were several discrepancies to be dug out by the investigating officials, he told DC.
“I have a hunch that the will is not genuine. My sister should not have died poor and her assets and properties are being enjoyed by Ganesh Kumar. Her aides, Sahadevan and his wife Sidhammal, were given Rs 1 lakh each from Ganesh Kumar’s own pocket and packed off to some remote place the next day of her passing away. I understand that the aides’ adopted daughter was present when the will was signed by Srividya,” he said.
Days before Srividya’s death, actor Kamal Haasan had given an interview to Tamil magazine Kumkumam and criticised the people close to her.
The person who was bearing her medical expenses had denied proper medical care to her. Incidentally, former director of Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. M. Krishnan Nair, in his autobiography, without naming Ganesh Kumar, had said that he was unwilling to buy the medicines though doctors had suggested that they would improve her condition.
