Kochi: T. O. Sooraj, former PWD secretary and former Land Revenue Commissioner, on Thursday appeared before Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court expressing his consent to undergo a polygraph and brain mapping test in connection with the Kalamassery land grabbing case.
He appeared before magistrate K. S. Ambika in her chamber around 3.30 pm and signed a document agreeing to the polygraph test.
Earlier in the day, the CBI approached the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court seeking permission to conduct polygraph test on T. O. Sooraj. The court had dismissed a petition filed by Sooraj to permit the CBI to conduct the narco-analysis test on him.
Meanwhile, the CBI probing the Kalamassery land grabbing case on Thursday arrested Abdul Majeed, the fourth accused and a relative of Salim Raj, former gunman of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Abdul Majeed and his relatives allegedly bribed village officers for tampering with the records containing ‘thandaper’ of 116 cents of land owned by one Shereffa at Pathadipalam, CBI sources said.
