Hyderabad: Though out on a 12-hour bail to attend his daughter’s engagement ceremony, the smile on A. Revanth Reddy’s face did not falter. Mr Revanth Reddy left the jail wearing a white T-shirt at 6 am on Thursday and went straight to his Jubilee Hills residence.
He seemed in good spirits and consoled family members saying, “Nothing will happen to me.” Later, he changed into traditional clothes and left for the N Convention centre, the venue for the function.
TRS MLC K. Yadava Reddy was a surprise guest at the function. Mr Yadava Reddy, who had left the Congress to join the TRS, was elected as the MLC a few days back.
Mr Yadava Reddy said he had studied with Mr Revanth Reddy’s wife Geetha in Delhi. “I attended as a family friend… It has nothing to do with politics.”
Meanwhile, one of the conditions for Mr Revanth Reddy’s bail was that he must refrain from talking to the political leaders and media.
