Hyderabad: “What can I say?” was all that A. Revanth Reddy had to say when the prison officials asked him about his daughter’s engagement ceremony.
“You must have seen everything on TV and news. What more is there to say?” Mr Revanth Reddy told them.
Speaking about the mood of the Telugu Desam leader after his return from the ceremony, a prison official, on condition of anonymity, said, “Revanth Reddy was calm and was trying to be diplomatic.”
A temporary bail had helped Mr Revanth Reddy attend the engagement ceremony of his daughter, and he was back before his deadline expired.
Though the deadline to return to Cherlapally was 6 pm, the TD leader entered the escort vehicle voluntarily at around 4 pm.
“All the formalities of Mr Revanth Reddy returning to the prison were completed by around 5.20 pm,” the prison official said.
