Hyderabad High Court verdict on colleges’ plea today

Plea to declare JNTU’s action as illegal

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court will deliver its decision to Friday on pleas filed by several private engineering colleges challenging the action of the JNTU-H in communicating deficiencies to them for granting affiliation for the 2015-16 academic year. They said that the JNTU’s decision not to include the petitioners’ colleges for counselling citing deficiencies was unconstitutional.

The petitioners urged the court declare JNTU’s action as illegal and direct it to include the college in the counselling. The counsel for one of the petitioners submitted that the All-India Council for Technical Education was the competent authority to review facilities in colleges.
