With their film PK hitting a high note at the Chinese box office, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma thought it was time for a success soiree. The bash, held in Mumbai on Wednesday night, was a glitzy affair, with lots of frame-worthy moments:
Aamir Khan came to the party wearing a Chinese outfit, a specially customised gift from Jackie Chan. Aamir spoke to all the guests before parking himself at a table with good friend Anil Kapoor.
Amitabh Bachchan was one of the early birds, greeted by the host Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The megastar was later engrossed in a chat with Raju Hirani.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh walked in together and congratulated the team before heading to the buffet section. Kanagna Ranaut was greeted with a glass of wine by Vidhu, who congratulated her on her performance in Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
In the end, a mutual admiration club of Raju, Vidhu, Aamir and Boman Irani took turns to congratulate each and every member associated with the film. Aamir ended by saying, “Raju you are a genius”. Vidhu, who took over the mic from Aamir, added, “You are also a genius Aamir”. Raju, in his turn, replied, “Everybody who is part of PK is a genius.” Waah!
VVC also praised Kangana, adding that the occasion was to celebrate Indian cinema and films like 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'. Anushka Sharma cheered on, showing that she has no problem celebrating others’ success.
