A Nine-day-old infant, declared dead by doctors, returned to life while being taken to the graveyard for burial

Vijayawada: A Nine-day-old infant, who was declared dead by doctors of a corporate hospital, returned to life while being taken to the graveyard for burial, in Vijayawada on Wednesday. The girl, who is yet to be named, was admitted to the Rainbow Super Specialty Hospital in the city after she was diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, an ailment that has the potential to damage the brain. It occurs when the brain doesn’t receive enough oxygen and blood.
It is a dangerous condition that requires immediate medical intervention. The girl’s parents, E. Chennakesava Raju and E. Lakshmi Tirupathamma, who hail from Chintalapudi in West Godavari district, had got her brain scanned through MRI at the Ayush Hospitals, as prescribed by the doctors of Rainbow Hospitals. She was declared dead by the doctors on Wednesday.
