‘If you arrest me, KCR will go,’ says Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said it will be the last day of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule in Telangana if he tries to arrest him.
“No one can intimidate me. We will fight. There are courts and other legitimate means. There is the spirit of common capital and Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act provides for police to be under the control of the Governor in the common capital,” he said.
He charged the K. Chandrasekhar Rao government of doctoring the tapes in the cash-for-vote scam to damage his spotless image and threaten him by trying to implicate him in the case. “It is not my voice on the tapes. The tapes have been doctored,” he said in New Delhi.
Mr Naidu said, “I don’t have liberty in Hyderabad. I don't have security in Hyderabad which is the common capital for both AP and TS for 10 years.” He added he is representing all these issues to the President and the Prime Minister and Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has to answer all these.
