Kozhikode: A jawan was killed and two persons were injured in a clash between CISF personnel and officials of Airports Authority of India at Karipur airport here on Wednesday night.
The clash was the sequel to a dispute over the entry of AAI officials at the airport. Kerala home minister Ramesh Chennithala confirmed the incident.
He said ADGP Shankar Reddy was at the spot and has asked to send more forces. Police said trouble started following a dispute between a CISF jawan and AAI official Unny Thomas. Mr Thomas allegedly grabbed the jawan’s gun and the shot went off.
