Meanwhile, the victim's relatives alleged that the Saroornagar police did not take the case seriously initially. However, after repeated attempts the cops booked a case against the perpetrators. When contacted, Saroornagar police inspector S. Krishna Prasad refused to respond to the allegations and give details of the case. Though the incident occurred on Friday evening, the incident came to light after cops booked the case on Wednesday.

The girl, who is a Class 1 student, was alone at home as her parents had gone out for work. “The boys approached her and offered her chocolates. Since she knew them she went with them. They took her to their terrace and overpowered her. They raped her one after the other and dropped her home,” said a relative of the victim.

When her parents came back, the girl was hesitant to tell them fearing the boys, who had threatened her not to reveal it to anybody. After a while, the mother found her bleeding and took her to hospital.

The doctors found the girl had serious injuries on her private parts and found out the cause. The girl then explained what happened after which the parents approached the police.

“We booked a case under IPC for rape and under Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused boys have been arrested after a brief inquiry,” said LB Nagar ACP P. Venugopala Rao. The minor boys, who are students of a local school, will be produced before juvenile court soon, police said. Doctors have said that an infection has spread in the last two days and the victim had lost a lot of blood.
