Watch out! 'Terminator' to have two more sequels

The film which will hit the screens in July is not a traditional sequel, prequel or remake

The makers of 'Terminator' will reboot the franchise with 'Terminator Genisys' as the first film as a part of a trilogy. 'Terminator Genisys' which will be hitting the screens in July is not a traditional sequel, prequel or remake; it is a complete re-imagining of the Terminator universe based on the Cameron source material.

This movie opens in the future which is something that James Cameron teased in his first two movies of the series but wasn’t really ever able to get to. And then we see John Connor sending Kyle Reese back to save Sarah Connor. The film promises to give more to fans of the franchise and take newcomers into that fascinating world.

Alan Taylor known for his direction of the blockbuster – 'Thor: The Dark World' and also some of the most talked-about television series of the last decade, including 'Lost', 'The Sopranos', 'Mad Men' and 'Game Of Thrones'. The filmmaker said, “When I read the script I was attracted by how different it was to the original movies, but similar in that the focus was on the importance of the relationships between the characters, even in the context of this huge battle across time.”

Asked about what it was like to direct Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a Terminator the director was very clear, “Arnold is wonderful and takes direction really well. Obviously he has the role completely down, but it is amazing the way he has stepped into this and shown us how much human is mixed with the machine.”
