Salman Khan says no to playing dwarf in Aanand Rai's next
The director confirmed the news at a recent success bash of his film
Mumbai: After ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ grand success worldwide, director Aanand L Rai was hopeful to rope in one of Bollywood’s Khans to play a role in his next film. The director approached none other than Salman Khan for this upcoming project.
However, the actor who is on a tight schedule, with ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and ‘Sultan’ in the pipeline, turned down the part.
Aanand, who was present at the success bash of his film, confirmed that Salman turned down the offer to play a dwarf in his film. A disappointed Rai took it within his stride saying that it was "all part and parcel” of the business.
“You're in a business, you tell stories, you work on films, you work on the scripts, and you go to your actors. Sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't. It's a part and parcel of your game," he further added.
Currently, Aanand L Rai is enjoying and celebrating the success of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ as the movie has received positive reviews from both audiences and critics alike and has even grossed about Rs 140 crore at the box office within two weeks.
