Bengaluru: A two-year-old boy, who fell from a three-storey building at Halasuru on May 29, is battling for life in hospital. Saji Kumar (Shabari), had strayed into the third floor of the building at Corporation Colony in Halasuru. Saji was summoned by his friends on the ground to play with them.
When Saji was looking down from the parapet wall on the third floor, he slipped and fell down and sustained severe head injuries, victim’s relative Anoop told Deccan Chronicle.
“Nobody noticed that he had fallen from that height and he was lying besides a coconut tree motionless. His friends, who were busy playing, told Saji’s parents that a coconut might have fallen on his head from the nearby tree,” Anoop said.
Saji is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital for grievous head injuries and his condition is said to be critical.
