Karnataka league cricketers stitch record partnership
Bengaluru: Skipper Pawan Deshpande and Anirudh Joshi cracked double hundreds during their record fifth wicket partnership of 403 runs in a first Division league match played between Vultures Cricket Club and Social Cricketers at Chinnaswamy Stadium here.

In a two-day match which concluded on Sunday, Joshi and Deshpande smashed unbeaten scores of 212 and 204 respectively.
While Deshpande rocked with his bat by smashing three sixes and 24 boundaries off 258 balls, Joshi cracked eight sixes and 23 fours off 199 balls.

Joshi and Deshpande stitched the partnership when Vultures Cricket Club were struggling at 55 for four in 18.3 overs of the allotted 90 overs.
The pair went on to reach a score of 458 at the end of 90 overs.

This was a record partnership, and also a record for both the batsmen getting double hundreds in a I Division league match wherein the first innings is limited to 90 overs.
