Charges fixed against 10 in J Dey murder case
Special judge explained to the accused that they have been charged for being part of underworld gang
Mumbai: Four years after senior journalist J. Dey was shot dead by the underworld, a special Maharashtra control of organised crime act court, situated inside high-security Arthur road jail, on Monday framed charges against 10 accused in connection with the murder.
Special judge A.L. Pansare explained to the accused that they have been charged for being part of underworld gang, criminal conspiracy, murder and causing disappearance of evidence. Dey was murdered in 2011 near Powai garden when he was on his way back home.
Those who have been charged are Satiah Kaliya, Abhijeet Shinde, Arun Dake, Sachin Gaikwad, Anil Waghmode, Nilesh Shendge, Mangesh Agawane, Vinod Asrani, Paulson Joseph, Deepak Sisodia and Jigna Vora.
