AP to be world’s best by 2050: Chandrababu Naidu

The CM said that AP saw a growth rate of 8.4 per cent growth in the past year

GUNTUR: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday vowed to make the state’s new capital Amaravati a global city, on the lines of Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Addressing the Maha Sankalpam public meeting in front of the Acharya Nagarjuna University here, Mr Naidu claimed that he had developed Hyderabad as a world-class city and would do the same with the new capital, with the help of the local people and NRIs.

“By 2022, AP will be one of the three most developed states of India, by 2029, it will be the best developed, and by year 2050, it will emerge as the world’s best state,” he predicted.

Mr Naidu vowed to improve employment opportunities and turn AP into the gateway of the country by utilising its vast coastline and abundant natural resources. Referring to his government’s handling of Cyclone Hudhud, he said that the cyclone’s devastation “had gone away” due to determination to bring normalcy in seven days.

The CM said that AP saw a growth rate of 8.4 per cent growth in the past year. Asking people to not get discouraged by the “TRS government’s conspiracies” against him, Mr Naidu sought the support of AP’s citizen in his fight for justice.

Later, he led the ministers, MPs, MLAs and people present in taking a pledge to strive for AP’s welfare.
