Rash drivers put on alert

Traffic cops have been asked to look out for dangerous driving
Hyderabad: Reckless driving, over speeding or overtaking in a rash manner may not be so easy anymore. Youngsters indulging in dangerous stunts and drag racing on city roads are now being reported by fellow road users to the city traffic police and are being hauled up.
Close to 9,000 cases of violations relating to dangerous driving and related violations endangering lives of fellow road users, have been recorded in the city last month. Among various traffic offenses being recorded are dangerous driving and reckless driving, be it by motorists, four wheelers or buses and lorries.
The traffic police have upped its drive against dangerous driving by two wheelers, overloaded lorries that could cause threat to other road users, four wheelers with extra projection lights and zig zag driving by buses.
Traffic cops have been asked to look out for dangerous driving, buses stopping in the middle of the road, sudden application of breaks, driving without helmets, carrying goods dangerously, driving a vehicle in an unsafe condition, sudden turning without any indication, overtaking from the left, zig zag driving, reckless driving and over speeding apart from concentrating on drunken driving.
