Gang attacks youth near Aramgarh

The youth managed to drive away
Hyderabad: A youth, who lodged a complaint against the notorious snake gang in August 2014, was allegedly attacked near Aramgarh. The 18-year-old victim who is a resident of Chandrayangutta, approached the police and claimed that he escaped with his car before he was injured.
Though most snake gang members are in jail some are out on bail. Mailardevpally inspector S. Venkat Reddy said they have launched a manhunt and has also booked a case.
The victim said that he was going home from Mehdipatnam in his I-20 car when the attack took place. “Around 10 to 12 people followed me and stopped my car near Babul Reddy Nagar in Aramgarh. They were armed with knives and other weapons. They tried to open my car door. The doors were locked and they could not enter the car,” said the victim.
One of the attackers broke the car's door handle. However, the youth managed to drive away. Later, he contacted the police and lodged a complaint.
Meanwhile, police officials, who visited the scene were baffled as the victim gave contradictory accounts about the incident. “Initially he said the place of offence was one kilometer away from the place he took us to. When we inquired with locals we found that no one had seen the incident. It was a busy hour and having no eyewitness is strange,” said SI P. Laxmikant.
