Air India cabin crew member allegedly molested by male counterpart at a hotel in Mumbai
New Delhi: A woman cabin crew member of Air India was allegedly molested by one of her male counterparts during her stay at a hotel in Mumbai, said the police. Indira Gandhi International Airport police in New Delhi has registered a 'Zero' First Information Report or FIR under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code in the May 25 incident and forwarded it to the Mumbai Police for further action.
The woman in her complaint to police alleged that she was molested by the male crew member when the two were staying at a hotel in Mumbai, police said. The air hostess approached police on landing in Delhi. An FIR was filed in the case and forwarded to Andheri police station in Mumbai for further probe, they said.
Zero FIR is an FIR that can be filed in any police station irrespective of the place of incident and the same can be later transferred to the appropriate police station.
