Sabbam Hari says Congress men wanted state divided
Hari said he would put in all his efforts to defeat such leaders
Visakhapatnam: Former Congress MP Sabbam Hari has dropped a bombshell saying around 10 Congress leaders, including former union ministers Chiranjeevi, D. Purandheswari, former state ministers, Botsa Satyanarayana, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Raghuveera Reddy, desired for the state to be bifurcated to become chief minister and lobbied hard with the Congress high command for it.
Hari said he would put in all his efforts to defeat such leaders who dissuaded Samaikyandhra movement and wanted to divide the state, if contested in Vizag MLC polls. He had indirectly referred to former state minister, Botsa Satyna-rayana, who was suspended from the Cong-ress and going to join YSRC on Sunday. There were reports that Mr Satyanrayana will contest from Vizag’s local authorities constituencies MLC polls.
Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Mr Hari said, “There are around 10 Congress leaders, like Chiranjeevi, Purandheswari, Botsa Satyanarayana, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy, who wanted the state to be divided so that they can become chief minister. They all lobbied hard with the Congress high command for it.”
There is a leader who went a step ahead and gave money in advance to the Congress state in-charges, for the favour to make him the chief minister, he said. They all backstabbed the Samaiky-andhra movement. I have heard that one such leader is going to contest for Vizag MLC polls. I will put in all my efforts to defeat him as I have considerable influence in almost 7 Assembly constituencies,” he added.
