CM appeals to NRIs to donate generously
Guntur: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claimed that he is the first coolie to work in the construction of the new capital and appealed to the NRIs to donate generously towards the new capital establishment. He claimed to be a visionary and vowed to build a world-class ultra- modern capital with the help of the public. Speaking on the occasion of the capital land puja near Mandadam, Mr Naidu said Telugu people going abroad was made possible due to his efforts and claimed that he had created opportunities for Telugu people to become NRIs.
Praising the NRIs for their donations, he said that if all the NRIs generously give donations for the new capital construction, works for Amaravati would be completed swiftly. Predicting a golden future for Andhra Pradesh, the CM said today the Telugu people are going abroad but in the coming days, the world would come to Amaravati.
The CM elaborated about expressways, outer ring road connectivity to various areas and added that two to three ports would come up in Vodarevu in the future. While Naya Raipur and Gandhinagar are only administrative capitals, we are building a world-class capital for the people, he said. Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s famous lines, Mr. Naidu appealed to the youth to work towards the swift development of the state.
