Google has started to roll out the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for all Android One smartphones. Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO Mi-498 and Karbonn Sparkle V have received the update.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop offers support for multiple SIM cards, Device Protection and high definition (HD) voice on compatible phones as well. Its Device Protection feature is Google's answer to Apple's Activation Lock and works on the same anti-theft idea. The feature will keep your stolen device locked unless you sign in with your Google account, even if someone resets your device to factory settings.
Google also claims that the latest Android Lollipop update will improve stability and performance of Android handsets.
