Hawala code to be sought
Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau officials will be interrogating the three accused, including Bishop Harry Sebastian, Mr Rudra Uday Simha, together regarding the scam and the hawala code promised to complainant, Anglo Indian nominated MLA Mr Elvis Stephenson, for collecting the remaining Rs 4.5 crore.
The court ordered that the accused should be questioned in the presence of their advocates and not to subject them to third degree torture.
The court also defined the timings for interrogation of the accused. The accused will have to be picked up from Cherlapally Jail at 9.00 am and be shifted back at 5.30 pm. On the last day of questioning, on June 9, they will have to be produced before the ACB court in the evening.
ACB will be interrogating the three to trace the origin of the bribe amount and to know of other conspirators in the case. The Bureau has already obtained call data records of the accused.
Meanwhile, the hearing of Mr Revanth Reddy’s bail petition was postponed to June 9. The court has allowed special category status to Bishop Harry Sebastian and Mr Rudra Uday Simha too.
