Vijayawada: As many as five cases pending in court against AP irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao have been withdrawn by the state government. As per GO No. RT 647 issued by the state home department on Thursday, Mr Rao was accused under various Sections of the IPC, including 353, 188, 341, 290, 422, 323, 509, 596, all read with Section 143.
The cases were registered in police stations under Vijayawada commissionerate when TD was in the Opposition.
