Peethala Sujatha gets Chandrababu Naidu’s cold treatment
RAJAHMUNDRY: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday gave the cold shoulder to state women and child welfare minister Peethala Sujatha, ignoring her completely during his visit to Velpuru village in West Godavari district.
Ms Sujatha has been in the news recently, after a bag with Rs 10 lakh in cash was found in her ancestral home in Veervasaram village in the district. Onlookers were left stunned when the minister’s attempts to speak to Mr Naidu went in vain as he went away without any response.
Meanwhile, cops made some progress in their investigation into the case of the “cash bag”. The police verified the bank statements of A. Vishnuvathi, the woman who claimed she had forgotten her bag in the minister’s resident. The police found that she deposited her retirement benefits in the bank and also took financial assistance from the bank at Palakollu.
Vishnuvathi told the police that she wanted to purchase some land with the money and she had gone to meet the minister resident to take advice from Ms Sujatha’s father Babji.
