Inaugurations: District collector writes to CEO
Vijayawada: After changing muhurthams several times, the state government has now decided to perform the puja and inaugurate Chief Minister’s camp office in Vijayawada on June 6. The state government had earlier fixed the muhurtham on June 2 for CM camp office inauguration, but postponed it as the works were not yet completed. The state government has now fixed the fresh muhurtham on June 6 even though the CM camp office works are still not completed.
According to reliable and confidential sources, Krishna district collector A. Babu has sent a letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer to give the permission for puja and CM camp office inauguration on June 6 although the election code is in force in Krishna district. The state government had postponed the inauguration by three months, but suddenly the Krishna district collector requested the election commission to accord permission for camp office inauguration as per the new schedule following the instructions of state government.
The state government had already fixed the muhurtham on June 6 for bhoomi puja of the capital construction works and now the it has selected the same muhurtham for CM camp office inauguration too.
As the poll code is in force in Guntur district too, the state government has already requested the election commission to give relaxation for conducting the bhoomi puja on June 6 for the new capital construction and public meeting to mark the completion of first year on June 8.
Now, the state government has fixed the same Bhoomi Puja date for CM camp office inauguration purpose too to run the three-day a week administration from this office. However, the CM camp office inauguration depends on the decision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, said a senior official on condition of anonymity.
