I am not against Sanjay Gupta, just need my money back: Vinod Bachchan
Mumbai: Flimmaker Sanjay Gupta has moved the Bombay High Court challenging a non-cooperation directive recently issued against him. This pertains to a complaint filed by producer Vinod Bachchan with the Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) seeking refund of the signing amount for a project.
Vinod had approached Sanjay for a project titled ‘Delhi Ka thug’ and after it was shelved the duo agreed that Sanjay should retain the token amount of Rs. 45.9 lakh. But after ‘Jazbaa’ started rolling, the producer sent him a legal notice claiming that the token amount was to be used for that film.
Vinod said, “The truth always wins, I am not against Sanjay I just need my money back. If you are not doing my film. Please return my money.”
Earlier, Sanjay failed to appear for any of the earlier JDSC meetings to present his point and/or defend himself, the dispute matter was taken up to the Joint Dispute Settlement Committee of IFTPC & FWICE. In the JDSC meeting, an order was passed against Sanjay to return the signing amount of Rs. 45,90,000, failure to which non-cooperation directive was issued.
