Watch: Brazilian journalist tries to interview dead man
Brazil: Where on one hand the world relies on the media as a platform for accurate news and social justice, on the hand, some journalists take their job too seriously expect the unthinkable from their sources. In a recent horrific event a Brizilian broadcast journalist went up to to a corpse lying on the floor and requested for a comment.
The TV Atalaia journalist had arrived at the scene where three suspects were lying face down on the floor following a police chase.
Officers said the men had robbed a grocery store and fled to the outskirts of Aracaju in the state of Sergipe, Brazil where there was a shoot out.
The broadcaster crouched down beside the suspects to question them to which one of the men gave him a muffled reply.
He then turned his attention to the third suspect who was wearing blue and was lying face down next to a damaged car.
Putting his microphone in the face of the man, the over-enthusiastic reporter asked him how old he was.
After a few moments of silence, he even tried nudging the man on the back before realising his humiliating gaffe.
Addressing the camera, the embarrassed reporter said: 'This one is hurt.
'Amazingly, I was going to interview a guy who's already dead.'
