ACB files petition seeking custody of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy

Reddy is currently in Charlapalli prison under judicial remand

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) filed petition in a local court on Thursday seeking five-day custody of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Revanth Reddy, accused in a cash-for-vote case, for questioning, a senior ACB official said.

On Sunday, ACB arrested Revanth Reddy while allegedly trying to bribe MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote for the TDP nominee in Telangana Legislative Council polls.

"We filed a petition in court seeking his custody for five days. The court may hear the petition tomorrow," the official said.

Reddy is currently in Charlapalli prison under judicial remand.
