Producer Madhu Mantena tied the knot with his fiancée Masaba Gupta Richards on June 3 at a very quiet ceremony attended by close family and friends. The lavish wedding will now happen in November in Trinidad and Tobago, where Masaba’s father, former cricketing legend Vivian Richards, will be present.
Says an invitee, “Madhu’s parents, his partner from his production company Vikas Bahl and Shahid Kapoor were also present. Masaba was represented by her mom Neena Gupta. It was a very quick and quiet ceremony.”
When asked why it was done so quickly and in such secrecy, the invitee replied, “Both Madhu and Masaba wanted to make it official. It was their parents’ wish too.” The couple will host a large wedding reception where the who’s who will be invited. Says Madhu Mantena, “We’re planning a proper wedding in the Caribbean in November. The ceremony on June 3 was just a formality that we wanted out of the way. The actual wedding is in November.”
