Hyderabad: A woman was robbed at knifepoint in her house at Damaiguda in Jawaharnagar early on Tuesday.
The victim was sleeping in her house when an unidentified armed man entered the house by opening the door latch.
Brandishing a knife he robbed her of her mangalsutra weighing about 30 gm. The accused, who spoke Telugu, apparently told the victim he would return the ornament in a couple of days.
Jawaharnagar police said the victim, Sujatha, 26, was alone in the house as her husband had gone out for work.
The accused entered through the main door and threatened her with a knife and then robbed her. The police has booked a case. Police suspects the accused is a local offender.
