Actress Sandhya, who rose to fame with films like Kaadhal and Dishyum, is back in K’town with a sequel to Vishal-Reema Sen starrer Thimiru. Sources say that director Tarun Gopi, who helmed the original, plays the lead after a few actors declined the offer. Says Tarun,“Thimiru was appreciated for its unusual, racy screenplay.  I have made its sequel equally impressive. Ramanaa will also play another hero.”

Talking about Sandhya’s role, he says, her performance will be the movie’s highlight, and adds, “I am confident that it will pave the way for her second innings in Tamil cinema.” Tarun tells us for the first time in a movie, forty grandmas are being cast in supporting roles.
