Rains bring cheers to public in Karimnagar
These showers have dropped down soaring temperatures registered for the past one month
KARIMNAGAR: Brief spells registered at various parts of district have cheered up people and farming community. The Monday morning’s showers brought some respite to people who were suffering with scorching heatwave conditions for the past few days. However, the showers likely to affect mango fields which are at harvesting stage by causing disease to the king of fruits.
Jammikunta, Veenavanka, Kamalapur, Srirampur and Dharmaram mandals registered about 50 mm rainfall. Mahadevapur recorded the highest rainfall with 136 mm, while 58 mm and 44 mm of rainfall was seen by Kamanpur and Kataram mandals, respectively. Velgatur and Odela mandals witnessed moderate rains.
These showers have dropped down soaring temperatures registered for the past one month. Cloudy weather coupled with breezes amused people from different walks of life. In particular, farming community expressed happiness for the rain.
